Israel’s Central Statistics Bureau reports that Israel imported leather and leather products worth US$55.2 million in the first five months of this year, compared with US$45.6 million in the same period in 2007. Israeli exports of the same types of commodities in the January to May period this year were worth US$6.6 million, as against US$7.5 million in the corresponding period last year.
